Holy Water Purification and Blessing

Water – in Balinese Culture perceived as the element of life that connects emotion and intution in human being. In every religious ceremony in Bali , water – fire – flower – leaves – fruits are the main items which are used in every yadnya , offerings to the God and other spirit.
Offering itself as a symbol of gratitude for the abundance given by the universe.

Known for its character that is cleansing , water at the Holy Water Temple has more spesific benefit for us . Some temples are found even hundreds years back there and still very well – preserved by the community. People came with any problems that they had on their body ,emotion or mental – faithfuly surrender and trust the holy water will bless them with healing. The faith itself – is actually the source of the healing. Especially, for every mantra and sincere praying that they chant stay on every particles in the water.
The journey to self – purification itself , is started far before you arrived at the Holy Water Temple. Since you feel the urge inside you telling you to do , then be sure about it. Hold in mind and heart strongly the purpose and your intention. Prepared for some prayings or wish that you wanted to say. The rest , just follow the guidance.

As the moment you arrived at the Temple , pay attention on unwritten rules on visiting a temple.

• Reccommended to wear temple attire : sarong and shirt that cover your shoulder. Wrap around your waist a sash. There is different way to dress between men and women. Men have to wear an udeng on their head while women need to tie their hair neat.
• For women during their period are strictly not allowed to entering a temple.This is because the blood itself feed the lower spirits which carry negative characteristic yet powerful. Remember , a temple is not only a house for the Higher spirit but also lower spirit. As this yin and yang that will creates balanced energy at the temple
• When you are at the temple , be aware of your toughts , words and attitude. At the Temple there is a strong portal energy which allows for every seed of toughts or praying or attitude manifest easily. This is include to say any praying.
• Respect every corner of the temple. Everything at the temple area is there for reasons, so if you need toilet don’t even try to find bush or hiding behind a big tree.

A proper purification ceremony according to Balinese culture , requires you to prepare offerings. The simple forms is canang – flowers on top of coconut leaves basket. And you may also need to prepare a Pejati – another form of offering consist of coconut , fruits , sweets , canang .
Canang oferings will be placed on every shrines and certan point on the ground , include at the guardians by the entrance of the temple. The purpose is to – ask for permition and guidance as well as blessing.

Holy Water Purification ceremony can be done few times within a month according on how you feel your energy. This ceremony aimed to release of any negativity that attached to ourselves in any form , either illness , lazyness , confusion , broken heart , uncertainty , lack of inspirations , etc in hope that healing particles of Holy water can replaced the containated-water within us. So that we could feel much better and lighter physicaly , emotioanly and spiritualy.
