Bali is a tiny island within Indonesia archipelago where the two dimensions of life are strongly integrated in everything and everyday. On this sacred land, Sekala (the material) and Niskala (the spiritual) are equally honored and worshiped. Bali through its customs, ceremonies, traditions, landscape has attracted visitors from various backgrounds and belief in their quest of emotional healing, peace of mind, and spiritual contentment. It truely is a place to immerse into your spirituality as there are so much that Bali can offer through its people, nature and rituals. I and my family are taking part in this path, to be of the service in your journey of inner peace and contentment while you are exploring your self or celebrating your special moments on the Island of Gods – Bali.
The Holy Water Purification Ceremony
The Balinese often refer this ceremony as ” Melukat”. It is an ancient ritual in Bali where everyone is welcome to participate. The purpose of Melukat is to cleanse and to purify the energy body: energy on the physical body, emotional body, mental body and spiritual body from impurities and negative attachments. Your Melukat will be hosted at one of the oldest Holy Water Temple that is very significant for the Balinese.
We often wonder what the future holds for us. If we are on the right path. What is required to add into the journey of emotional healing and self-transformation. What is the message from the universe or from the ancestors for us. What is the situation with health/relationship/career. How is our loved ones doing? This is just a glimpse of what the session with Ibu Jero – the Balinese Shaman looks like for you.
On the back of the highest mount in Bali – Mt. Agung, lies a temple with its serene beauty where the 3 God’s manifestation that brings prosperity reside. Those are prosperity in knowledge, prosperity in food, and prosperity in business and career. After the temple ritual, we will head to Sidemen – the agricultural village 20 km away from Mt. Agung to have lunch and experience a rejuvenating traditional massage at Canting Kuning Spa.
Tranquility, Peacefulness, Universal Energy and Harmony March 24th – 30th 2024
Happening during the week of Nyepi – known as the Balinese Day of Silence marks the arrival of the Balinese New Year in the Caka calendar. Typically celebrated in March, it is a unique and significant cultural event in Bali, distinguished by its focus on introspection, renewal, and spiritual cleansing.
The highlights would be celebrating Bali’s annual cultural and religious events: Ogoh-ogoh (the Giant Epiphany parade on the day before Nyepi) and the Starry Night of Nyepi transitioning to Caka Year 1947. Besides that, have a session with a female Healer on numerology and palm reading. We will also arrange a Holy Water Blessings with The Balinese High Priest. Be open to some spontaneous agenda and flexibility.
My girlfriend and I chose Putu on Airbnb (despite a number of other water temple guides and locations) because of the positive reviews. We are SO glad that we did!First, there are other water temples you can visit that are closer to the center of Ubud but this one was amazing because it was super quiet, extremely beautiful, and there was hardly anyone else there.Second, Putu and her family really are amazing hosts for this ceremony. Putu herself was so professional and explained the ceremony in detail (what things mean and why they do them). You can really tell that she had experience as a yoga instructor too because she guides you through everything so well. Her mother is the sweetest, most joyful lady and she helps guide you through the main water cleansings. Her cousins were super friendly, too. Together they made everything feel very welcoming. You get to enjoy local snacks afterwards and can feed the koi fish in this beautiful pond.Lastly, the ceremony itself is SO worth it. It’s relaxing, cleansing and spiritual. It’s a beautiful glimpse into Balinese and Hindu culture, so if you’ve been wanting to connect with the local people and way of life, this is a great way to do it.
Putu and her mother Ibu are amazing. Putu has learnt her craft from her Grandmother who was a priest and always took Putu to the temple. She left her work in the hospitality industry to follow her dreams and I found this to be an enlightening experience

Putu and her family facilitated an amazing water purification experience for us. She took time to teach us about the tradition and lead a beautiful meditation to help us set our intentions. Then we were gently guided through the waters with their support. You could truly feel Putu and her cousins’ energy. She is a grand daughter of a high priestess, and it really felt like we were connected not just to our families but hers as we went through the sacred ritual. It was nothing short of magic. We would recommend everyone try this experience if you’re seeking healing and something unique, life changing, and inspiring. Thank you Putu! We will be back. -Brittany & Drew

Returning to Ubud and Bali after 1.5 years, my first must-do was to book this experience again!!! It’s such a magical experience being at Pura Mengening, and I truly appreciate the small group , intimate experience with Putu and her cousins Agung and Agung :) it’s nice that we can leisurely picnic and exchange stories, take in the scenery and temple views, instead of some other groups I saw where they just did the Melukat ceremony and left the temple immediately. Thank you and I’ll be back!!!

This experience will be unforgettable for the rest of my life. The ritual was so beautiful, and spiritual. I was able to participate and learn of all the symbolic meanings with Putu's clear explanation and guidance. I was able to feel the magical power and the great energy of that space, and of water. The relief and cleansing under the water moved me to tears - best part was, no one could see!!! (not so embarrassing) but truly, this was most recommended of all the tours I've done in Bali. Please do yourself a favor! Do this to learn how to connect to your Self, to love Self, to be grounded to Mother Earth, to learn of the power of Water, and to reconnect with your roots and ancestors. Putu also took great pics quietly as we go through the cleansing with the help of 2 other beautiful ladies. The yummy snacks provided at the end were most delicious!

Putu was so kind. She was warm and personable. She educated us and made sure we felt safe and comfortable during the entire experience. She was there for us the entire time. She brought her sister Mona who was also super sweet and wonderful as well. I really enjoyed the entire experience.

When considering Melukat, I highly recommend choosing this experience with Putu! She is not only personable and a comforting person to be around, but also her knowledge, experience, respect for the ceremony, and true care for you as an individual going through the process, really shines through. My partner and I learned so much about the significance of Melukat, as well as greater elements about ourselves. Go with Putu!
