For every events that happen in the nature , would always affect human : energy , mood , emotion , behaviour.
In term of energy , there is the flow. The universe’s energy flows and human’s energy flows – then at certain point and timing they flow in the same energy portal. Which in Bali , we say this time falls at 6.00 am and 6.00 pm and 12.00 am and 12.00 pm.

We pretty much celebrate nature’s events by doing ceremony. As the nature giving us guidance and showing its power , we use offerings and praying as the proper language to communicate.

Take example , full moon which in calendar we meet every 30 days. When the moon is big and perfectly round. Balinese take this day seriously and perceive it as a day of ‘ purna ‘ – perfection – richness – completness. It’s the day for the holy light descending to provide blessing. On this day , prayers are praise and chant the very honest words of devotion toward Sang Hyang Chandra – God’s manifestation of the moon – the God of brilliance. We use this day as well to be able to receive the blessings and perfection from the holy light.

Most likely temples will be busy on this day for Full moon celebration. Flowers offerings are everywhere. The fragrance from the burning incense are kind of adding holy atmosphere in the air.

Some people may like to go to the Holy Water Temple the day before , for a cleansing and purification ceremony . As they’d like to feel completely pure prior to receiving the blessing.
